Lisa Kalkwarf
My name is Lisa, no fancy nickname needed. My happy energy is a mix of H2o, some serious caffeine, and an occasional burst of expresso. I'm always ready for an impromptu dance off or dad joke!
I've been licenced for 14 years now.
My passion started in my aunt’s chair. She was the one who helped get me styled for my first few school events. I felt like I was watching hair transformations like they were front-row magic shows. I was instantly hooked. The spark hit early… and it never fizzled.
I knew I wanted to be the best at whatever I chose to do. After graduating from Conestoga, I tried my hand in manufacturing at Kawasaki. It was a great learning experience, but nothing beats daily interaction with people! From there, I decided that the health care industry could use my hands for helping people and making them feel their best. After 4 years as a certified CNA/CMA, I took my heartfelt passion, talent and young energetic goals and signed up for one of the top cosmetology schools in Nebraska.
I pushed through long days and even longer nights, mastering every obstacle thrown my way. After graduating, I stayed patient, trusted my gut, and waited for the PERFECT moment to build my own salon brand.
Here we present: Luxe Haven Salon—aka the place where my dreams and skills made the perfect recipe for success.
Now I can unapologetically take the crown as Cass county queen of men’s cuts and balayage. Seriously—you don't have to take my word for it. But that's not all I master. I love every part of hair. Kids, color, styling, full transformations—if it has strands, I've got it handled.
My chair is where great hair, good energy, and a little harmless chaos meet. Expect honesty, laughs, and results that make you want to walk slower just so everyone notices your hair.
When I'm not behind the chair, I'm in wife and mom mode. Crafts, sports, or planning the next memorable adventure.
I can't wait to welcome new clients and existing into my home at Luxe Haven Salon. I hope you find as much comfort and confidence in my chair as you would at home in your favorite recliner, stinky socks and all!
